The NRCHA Foundation exists to promote the reined cow horse heritage and industry as a supporting organization for the National Reined Cow Horse Association. It is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides a place for charitable giving. Funds are provided for youth scholarships, the NRCHA Hall of Fame banquet, heritage preservation, the NRCHA Foundation crisis fund, and individual projects.
The Reno Snaffle Bit Futurity and Horse Show is an annual NRCHA Foundation cow horse event held in Reno, NV at the Reno-Sparks Livestock Events Center. The tradition continued September 5th-14th, 2025. The Youth Classes, both Youth Fence and Youth Limited, are Sherri Gilkerson Memorial Foundation scholarship classes in conjunction with the NRCHA Foundation! Scholarship money is awarded based on the NRCHA payout schedule.
In addition, the Open Bridle, Non Pro Bridle, Int NP Bridle, and L1 NP Bridle Classes will also be sponsored by the Sherri Gilkerson Memorial Foundation.
